It represents a significant advancement in the field of mental health, providing new possibilities for those who have struggled with finding effective treatments. Spravato acts quickly. Often, there is a rapid (can be as little as 24 hrs) antidepressant effect offering relief from depressive symptoms within days rather than weeks or months. The initial course of treatment is twice a week for four weeks then generally once a week. It can be continued 2 to 4 times a month for maintenance, for as long as it is needed.

Insurance covered & how is it administered?

Unlike other Ketamine treatments which require IV placement, Spravato (Esketamine) is a simple nasal spray, making it easier, non invasive, painless, and more convenient than traditional treatment methods. What to expect on the day of treatment?

The safety of our patients is our utmost priority. Spravato is administered in a controlled setting, under the supervision of trained healthcare professionals. This ensures your well-being throughout the treatment process and provides peace of mind for both you and your loved ones.

It does require in office observation for 2 hrs for medical monitoring before you can return home. Once administered, you should not be driving or operating any equipment for the remainder of the day. For your safety, we require you to have someone assist transporting you to and from your appointments. After a good night’s sleep you can drive and return to normal activities.
